Sinister Rose

There once was a girl
who had fitful dreams
Of ghouls dancing in the moonlight
To the music of her screams
In the pale light of morning
She'd awaken with a start
Her mind would swim with images
Of demons feeding on her heart
She kept these dreams well hidden
Careful not to show
How dark and twisted her dreams were
Or where at her mind would go
The girl grew into a woman
Some say she is fair of face
But look into her haunted eyes
And you'll see she is quite out of place
The dreams, they still do plague her
The ghouls still dance and sing
Yet now she dances with them
She's become their demon queen.
